What is Kissend?
Kissend is end-to-end encrypted private web chat for one-to-one messaging in the browser. No app install and no phone number — username only, so your number stays yours. Optional app lock, hidden chats, and disappearing messages. See about and llms.txt.
Is Kissend free to use?
Yes. Kissend is free for private one-to-one messaging in your browser — including end-to-end encryption, app lock, hidden chats, and disappearing messages. There are no paid plans today. See pricing.
Do I need to install an app?
No. Kissend is browser chat — it runs fully in modern browsers on mobile, tablet, and desktop. There is no app store download required to start private messaging.
Do I need a phone number?
No. Kissend uses username-only identity — your phone number is never required, so your number is not exposed through contact sync.
How do I start a private chat?
Open app.kissend.com, create an account and username, send a connection request to someone you know, and start messaging once they approve. A full walkthrough is on the how it works page.
Which browsers are supported?
Kissend works in modern browsers such as current versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. For the best experience, keep your browser updated and enable JavaScript.

Is Kissend end-to-end encrypted?
Yes. Kissend is end-to-end encrypted — private 1:1 chat, username identity, and practical controls like app lock, hidden chats, and disappearing messages. Details on our security page.
What is app lock?
App lock adds a PIN before anyone can open Kissend on your device. It can re-lock after idle time. Separate from Hidden chats. App lock guide.
What are hidden chats and the decoy PIN?
Hidden chats tuck selected conversations behind a second PIN. An optional decoy PIN opens an empty decoy inbox instead of your real hidden threads. Decoy applies to the Hidden tab only. Hidden chats guide.
Is Kissend only for one-to-one chats?
Yes. Kissend intentionally focuses on private one-to-one conversations — without groups, channels, or public feeds. That focus keeps privacy controls and the product experience calm.
Can I delete messages?
Yes. You can manage messages in your conversations, including using one-time or disappearing messages when you want content that does not linger after it is seen. Exact controls are available inside the app.
How do connection requests work?
To chat with someone, send a connection request using their Kissend username. They usually must approve before messaging begins. In Account privacy you can also allow anyone with your username to start a chat without a request. See how it works.
Does Kissend offer screenshot protection?
Kissend offers a soft screenshot-deterrent preference in the UI. It is not OS-level blocking. For stronger discretion, use app lock, hidden chats, and view-once media.
Do I need an email? Is Kissend anonymous?
You need an email to create an account (or Google sign-in when configured). Other people see your username — not your phone number — so your identity stays private in chat. Kissend is not fully anonymous, but it is completely private username-based messaging.
What is the difference between disappearing messages and view-once?
Disappearing timers clear newer messages in a conversation after the period you choose. View-once is for media meant to be opened once. Details on the disappearing messages guide.
What if I forget my app lock or hidden PIN?
Keep your PINs somewhere safe. You can still sign in with your account password to manage settings, but locked content stays protected by the PIN you set. Contact support if you are stuck.
Are there ads? Can I delete my account?
No ads in the chat. Kissend is free today — see pricing. You can delete your account from Account settings inside the app.
How is Kissend different from WhatsApp Web or Signal?
Kissend is browser-native 1:1 chat with username identity (no phone number), free today, plus app lock and hidden chats with decoy PIN. It is not a full replacement for group-heavy messengers. Compare on Kissend vs traditional messengers.
Does Kissend support Google sign-in?
Yes — when Google sign-in is configured for the deployment. You can also register with email and password. Open app.kissend.com to see available options.
What data does Kissend collect?
We collect account information needed to run the service (such as your username and login details) and limited technical or analytics data to improve reliability. Can I use Kissend on multiple devices?
Yes. Because Kissend runs in the browser, you can sign in from a phone, tablet, or desktop and pick up the same private conversation across devices.
